Working with us

Why work with us?

Working at Acquisition Systems comes with a variety of benefits. We are committed to supporting our employees with their overall wellbeing, so they can thrive both at work and at home. We review our benefits package regularly to ensure that what we are offering is in line with our employees’ expectations. We are also an accredited Real Living Wage Employer. The real Living Wage is the only rate calculated according to the costs of living. It provides a voluntary benchmark for employers that wish to ensure their staff earn a wage they can live on, not just the government minimum.

Our benefits include:

Enhanced holiday

Family friendly policies

Pension

Referral bonus

Life Assurance

Employee Assistance Programme

Employee ownership trust

Cycle to work scheme

Employee Ownership Trust

In 2021, the shareholding of Acquisition Systems Ltd, transferred to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). This means that the employees are majority owners of the company and are represented on the Trust’s board by three elected employee representatives, an independent external trustee, a current Director, and a former Director.

The current Trustees are Timothy Cureton, Alex White, Andy Marchant, Sue Lawrence and John McCollin. Becoming employee-owned has formalised our long-held belief that the success of the company and its work comes from having a positively engaged team, where each person is invested in where they work and what they do.

Benefits of being an EOT

  • Sharing in our success – annual tax-free bonus for all employees if applicable.
  • Engaged, committed, and motivated – our employees have a meaningful say in how the business is run and operated. We have a clear shared purpose.
  • Research suggests that companies owned by employees tend to be more successful, competitive, profitable, and sustainable than companies with other ownership structures. Increased employee motivation and retention are likely to be key reasons.

Our Interview Process

It’s so important to us that every member of our team truly believes in our vision. Great teams build great things, and our employees are our biggest asset. If you apply for one of our roles and your application is successful, you can expect the interview process to follow these stages…

1. Initial chat

Following your application, a member of our HR team will reach out to you for a quick chat. We want to learn more about who you are and why you would be a great fit for our team.

2. First Stage Interview

We will hold a first stage interview online over Microsoft Teams with a member of the HR team and the Hiring Manager for the role. During this interview we will dig into specifics of the role and ask you questions related to your skills and experience.

3. In person interview

A second stage interview will take place face to face with the Hiring Manager and a Director, this interview will be centred on the company values and vision to understand how you would see yourself fitting in with the team.

4. Feedback

Once all three stages are complete, you should hear pretty quickly regarding your success. If you’re offered a role, your start date will be confirmed. If unsuccessful, we will still provide you with helpful feedback.
