Acquisitions Systems Ltd/Pharmagraph is looking for a Service Technician to join our well-established and growing engineering company. The role is based in Runcorn and reports to the Service Team Leader. The company’s products are used in monitoring and control systems for pharmaceutical, NHS and life sciences customers, as well as for general engineering and military applications.

ASL is an engineering focused company that is agile to market needs to ensure we provide software and products that assist our customers in achieving regulatory compliance and are easy to use. A key strength remains in our ability to provide a turnkey project from design, build, installation and qualification through to system lifetime support and calibration which is only possible with our expert teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

The role includes, but is not limited to, the following activities relating to ASL/ Pharmagraph environmental monitoring systems:

  • Provide practical assistance to Service Engineers throughout the routine on-site calibrations/service at customer sites
  • Provide practical assistance to Service Engineers with front-line breakdown/technical support.
  • Work in clean room facilities and plant areas.
  • Generate and complete calibration certification to a high standard.
  • Willingness and flexibility to take on temporary responsibilities as cover for other team members in a small business environment.

Skills & Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths, English and Science at Grade C or above with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to work and the desire to learn new skills.
  • A technical qualification in a related field is desirable.
  • Previous experience in calibration or maintenance is preferred, but not essential.
  • Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Good level of numeracy and literacy with experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook)
  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays.
