Challenges

A leading European manufacturer of commercial refrigeration solutions, with a heritage dating back to 1968, needed to modernise its testing systems. Their ageing monitoring setup was becoming unreliable, unsupported, and unable to meet the demands of modern product development and compliance.

This case study explores how our team helped deliver a seamless, cost-effective upgrade using enVigil Flex, without disrupting operations or requiring major hardware replacement.

The Solution

We began with a site assessment to determine how much of the client’s existing hardware could be reused, avoiding unnecessary replacement costs. A new server running enVigil Flex was installed to act as the central processor, unifying data capture across test cells and auxiliary equipment. We repaired and rewired mobile test skids and fixed saddles to allow flexible, interchangeable testing setups. Micro-PC view nodes and secure remote access were introduced, enabling engineers to work both on-site and from home. To reduce disruption, we designed user interfaces that mirrored the existing layout and automated reporting processes to match internal templates, streamlining operations and improving efficiency without the need for retraining.
